Come celebrate the opening of Storywork: The Prints of Marie Watt from the Collection of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation—an exhibition of prints, textiles, and sculptures that trace the artist’s thirty-year journey of storytelling through art.
A member of the Seneca Nation and of German-Scot ancestry, Watt draws on Indigenous oral traditions, feminist histories, and shared mythologies to explore kinship, community, and “survivance”—the active presence and self-determination of Native peoples today.
Thank you for supporting the UMFA, your ticket purchase is 100% tax-deductible and will be receipted. Email Fiona with questions, comments, or concerns at fiona.marcelino@umfa.utah.edu.
